Designed to combine classic bookshelf speaker styling with modern wireless and wired connectivity, this active stereo speaker system delivers detailed, room-filling sound for music, films, gaming and TV. The Edifier R1855DB is built for powerful and balanced performance, with a 70W RMS total power output and a driver layout designed to reproduce both rich lows and crisp highs. Each speaker uses a 4-inch midrange/woofer driver for strong bass and detailed midrange, paired with a 19mm silk dome tweeter for smooth and clear high frequencies. The result is a full, well-balanced sound that suits a wide range of listening environments. A key design feature of the R1855DB is its 10-degree angled cabinet, which helps direct sound more accurately towards the listener for improved clarity and listening focus. The MDF wooden enclosure helps minimise acoustic resonance and distortion, while the front-facing bass reflex port supports deeper and more controlled low-frequency performance. For versatile connectivity, the R1855DB supports Bluetooth 5.0, optical, coaxial and dual RCA inputs, making it easy to connect TVs, computers, laptops, phones, tablets and other audio sources. It also includes a sub-out output, allowing you to add an external subwoofer for a more powerful low-end setup. The speaker system is powered by a bi-amplifier design with DSP and electronic crossovers, helping optimise performance across the frequency range. A wireless remote control is included for easy adjustment of volume, mute, input selection and Bluetooth playback from a distance. With its matte black wood-effect finish, angled cabinet design and broad input support, the Edifier R1855DB is a versatile active bookshelf speaker system for users who want both performance and flexibility in a stylish home audio setup.
